Hanno Stegmann (Partner & Director at BCG Digital Ventures) will share with us his company’s role in corporate venturing and the set-up within a global corporate investment and incubation firm. In addition, we have Jerome Thil ( Vice President Digital Innovation at Singapore Airlines Group) who will walk us through his view and best practice experiences on innovating together with start-ups and multinational organisations. Last but not least, Stefan Karlen (former President and CEO at Panalpina) a unique global leader who has transformed the industry with forward- thinking solutions and effected change with disruptive new digital technologies and innovations, will join our compelling discussion.To sum up, we will hear insights on trends, new forms and initiatives of corporate venturing within Southeast Asia.

Meet our Speakers
Hanno STEGMANN, Partner & Director at BCG Digital Ventures
Hanno is Partner & Director at BCG Digital Ventures, the venture incubation unit of the Boston Consulting Group. He is based in Singapore and part of the leadership team of BCGDV’s new South East Asia Incubation Center. At BCGDV he is dedicated to inventing, building, investing in and launching category-changing businesses at start-up speed for the world’s most influential corporates.
Previously, Hanno was CEO of the Rocket Internet in Asia. In this role, he managed a portfolio of >20 startups in 15 different markets across South East Asia with many successful incubations and exits. Prior to that, he worked for many years in Venture Capital and was MD of SevenVentures, one of Europe’s largest CVC funds.
Hanno holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD in Fontainebleau (France) & Singapore as well as a B.A. in Management from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and serves currently as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship’s as well as a start-up coach and mentor.
He is frequent speaker at some of the most important tech conferences in the region. Hanno’s last speaking roles include: Tech in Asia, Rise, Wild Digital, IGNITE, Innovfest and many more.

Jerome THIL, Vice President Digital Innovation at Singapore Airlines Group
Jerome Thil serves as Vice President Digital Innovation in Singapore Airlines (“SIA”), bringing to the job a proven track record of entrepreneurship and innovation spanning both start-ups and multinational organisations in Europe and Asia.
He was CEO of a number of start-up firms, which he founded, grew and ultimately sold to companies like France Telecom/Orange and Travelport. In 2006, Jerome founded Sprice.com, the first major Travel Meta Search website in Southeast Asia and India, which became Travelport’s hotel aggregation platform in 2010.
While being CEO of Sprice, he was appointed Vice President Innovation for Travelport in 2013. He joined Wildfire in Shanghai in 2015 as its CEO & President, growing the Big Data business in China before selling off the company to an Internet major.
Most recently, he served at Amadeus and Sabre, driving product innovation, marketing and digital transformation at the GDS (global distribution system) leaders.
As Vice President Digital Innovation, Mr Thil’s key responsibility is to drive and implement the Company’s digital innovation blueprint aimed at making SIA the world’s leading digital airline.

Stefan KARLEN, Former President and Group CEO at Panalpina Management AG
Stefan Karlen is a unique global leader who has transformed the industry with forward – thinking solutions and effected change with disruptive new digital technologies and innovations.
Most recently, Stefan has served as President and CEO of the Panalpina Group, one of the world’s leading providers of supply chain solutions with revenues of over CHF 6 billion, 14,500 employees and own offices in over 70 countries and an agent network in another 90 countries.
He has 25 years of international experience in P&L ownership, breaking into new markets, leading and managing M&As and successful integrations of the acquired companies, turnarounds, and brought cultural change to the table.
Stefan understands the digital challenge of the logistics industry and has founded the Panalpina Digital Hub, run as a startup, focusing on digital innovations and disruptive technologies.
He is passionate about global sustainability. Under his leadership, the company has achieved the Gold 2018 Ecovadis CSR Rating and has publicly committed to CO2 reductions, being one of the first in the logistics sector.
Stefan holds an international executive MBA from I.E. Business School in Madrid, Spain and a bachelor degree in international trade and freight forwarding from EIAB, Basel, Switzerland.

Andreas Enderlin, Founder & Managing Partner, Hugo Capital Partners
Andreas is the Founder & Managing Partner of Hugo Capital Partners, an Investment and Advisory firm focused on digitally transforming Industrial and B2B companies in ASEAN. Previously, he acted as the Regional President ASEAN of Schaeffler and was a member of the Executive Management Board (EMM).
Andreas is actively engaged as a mentor at the German Accelerator SEA, advising Private Equity funds & Startups in SEA/AP as well as being an active investor himself. In addition, he is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and Chair of the SwissCham Digital Transformation award.
Before his move to Asia Andreas held various corporate leadership roles at Siemens, the 3M Company and Straumann in General Management, M&A and Management Consulting and worked as a COO for a AI/Data Analytics startup which he successfully excited to a strategic investor.
He then spent a number of years working for a Private Equity fund pursuing a distinctive Buy and Build strategy with a focus on operational value creation.
Andreas’s core interests and experiences are around IoT, Deep Tech, Robotics, B2B, Private Equity and helping companies and people thrive. He is fascinated by nature and travelling and is a passionate runner.
He graduated with an MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and attended various executive courses at IMD (Lausanne), INSEAD (Paris), LBS (London) and Kellogg (US).

Lars Voedisch – Managing Director, Principle Consultant (PRecious Communications)
Lars has over 20 years of experience in growing, managing and defending leading brands’ reputation with a strong background in corporate affairs and thought leadership.
Based on his strong acumen in integrated communications and leadership, he drives impactful communications strategies that contribute to companies’ growth objectives. Lars has worked with some of the most exciting brands in their respective industries, incl. NBC Universal’s Downton Abbey, Coca Cola, DBS, Eu Yan Sang, Evernote, Huawei, Intel Security, Lenovo, Porsche, P&G, Standard Chartered Bank or Yahoo!.
