Pheely Hsu

Pheely is born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, a paradise for food lovers with its ubiquitous night markets, eateries and fresh produce around the seasons. With her adventurous spirit and desire to explore foreign cultures, Pheely embarked on a journey to Switzerland to pursue further studies in hospitality management in Montreux. She remembered vividly the first time she ever tasted cheese right after seeing how it was produced by the manufacturer at a day tour to Gruyère.

Pheely also spent a few years in Paris to complete a degree where she was able to fully immerse herself in the vibrant cultural art scenes. At a young age, Pheely was a fond traveller, exploring the big cities and countryside across Europe. Every trip was a stimulant to her Asian palate as she discovered gourmet food from the streets as well as at friends’ dining tables, Sunday markets and festive fairs. She now resides in Singapore, where she can meet people coming from diverse and international backgrounds. Enjoying cross-culture conversations at a dining table is a great pleasure for her.
