Tan Jek Min

Mr Tan Jek Min is the Director, National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) at Nanyang Polytechnic. At NACE, he drives workplace learning initiatives together with other NACE Centres,with the aim of propagating workplace learning adoption among employers in Singapore. Working closely with SkillsFuture Singapore and other key partners like SNEF and SMF, he oversees and drives national efforts in industry collaboration and workplace learning, looking at strategies and plans to collaborate with enterprises, industry partners, unions and government agencies.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr Tan was the Director of the Academy of Lifelong Learning & Skills, Asian Culinary Institute (ACI) and the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS), Nanyang Polytechnic’s Continuing Education & Training institutes. He had also previously worked in PSB Academy, as well as the former Productivity & Standards Board Singapore. During his period of service with the Productivity & Standards Board, he was the Administrator of the Skills Development Fund and also the Director of the Enterprise Development Fund. In PSB Academy, he held several stints including VP for Continuing Education and Training as well as VP for Business Excellence and subsequently General Manager PSB
Indonesia.

Mr Tan holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Honours) and an MBA from the UK. He has also served as a consultant to Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) for developing countries in Asia in human resource management, including several speaker roles for APO sessions regionally. He was also a Singapore Quality Class assessor and has also attained the Swiss SFIVET International Master Coach certification as well as the Assessor for Workplace Learning Framework certification issued by IHK Academy of Munich and Upper Bavaria and Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He was awarded the Singapore National Day Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2018.
