As part of SwissCham Singaporeโ€™s AI Leadership Series, our seventh event explored how Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are transforming cooling systems into smarter, more sustainable and cost-efficient operations.

With cooling accounting for around 60% of HVAC energy consumption in commercial buildings, improving cooling efficiency is becoming an increasingly important business and sustainability priority.

  • AI and machine learning can be integrated into HVAC systems to improve energy efficiency and optimise performance.
  • AI-enabled platforms can provide real-time insights into system performance, helping organisations make more informed operational decisions.
  • AI can support fault detection, diagnostics and predictive maintenance, allowing potential performance issues to be identified before they become larger problems.
  • Machine learning can help optimise HVAC operations and unlock energy savings by continuously analysing system performance.
  • Smarter cooling is not only an operational opportunity. It can also contribute to broader energy-efficiency and decarbonisation efforts.

A big thank you to Boon Chye Hoe, CEO of bbp, and Julia Miao, CFO and Deputy CEO of Super X, for sharing their expertise and perspectives on the practical application of AI in sustainable operations, and to our moderator Tim Wieringa, Co-chair of the Climate Tech Committee and People Transformation Director at Hive17 Consulting, for guiding the discussion.

The session offered a practical look at how AI can move beyond experimentation and support tangible improvements in critical infrastructure, combining operational performance with sustainability goals.

In the meantime, registrations are still open for the remaining events of the AI Leadership Series taking place over the next two weeks. Check out the programme and sign up now!
